

Wilko Vriesman Shihan 7th Dan
Chairman of the International Aikido Federation. He has been practicing Aikido since 1982. In 2017, he was awarded the Shihan degree by Aikido Doshu. He is the father of 4 children, the president of the Dutch Aikikai Foundation and the founder of the umbrella organization in the Netherlands. He began his career at the International Aikido Federation as a Martial Arts Technical Representative in St. Petersburg. In 2012, he was elected a member of the Board of Directors of the International Aikido Federation, and in 2016, he was elected the General Secretary. He was elected as the chairman of the 13th Aikido Summit held by the International Aikido Federation in 2021. He was a member of the AIMS Advisory Committee at the 2018 World Martial Arts Masters event in Koreya and the 2019 BAF Chief Representative. He led Aikido at the 2022 World Games.
